Real Sports!!

Sports, I remember when My Dad used to bring me out to do sports. I enjoyed the pleasure of being with the guys and pushing the body to to the fullest just for the pleasure of playing sports. We would finish a game or competition and go for a drink with a big smile on my face. When I started handbiking it was the same, but with the years winning became more important then the game. Yes ego and the need to please the federations and government to get my pay check at the end of every month, if not I could not live fiscally. A lot of my handbike friends became the same and we stoped laughing and having fun. Some would even wish I would crash so they could win. As for the coaches one was as good as his last race. Well with a long rest I have found the pleasure of sports that my dad taught me and am training this winter with this in mind. I will be racing with a smile on my face this coming season. Enjoy sports!!!

Strenght !!

How True!!!
“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength. For me life is continuously being hungry. The meaning of life is not simply to exist, to survive, but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer!”
From a Friend that knows the meaning!!

London 2012

So close; Selected but not chosen.  I was selected but not chosen, the news was released yesterday.

The course is to hilly and I am a big guy, better on the rolling or flat course. It is a big disappointment for me that has been working very hard for this moment.

I had pushed my self to the max, mentally and physically. I do not choose the course so will have to live with that. In Italy I finished 4th on a rolling course with an average of 41. 293 kl average, against the best in the World. I am in good shape. Again what a disappointment.

I want to thank all the community and sponsors for believing in me. It is because of you that I made it this far in my sport.

I will continue training.

Thank you for all, your interest in my carrier, your support, encouragements. It was an interesting four years since my last Games in China, with it's highs and lows. I gave all I had, and can say today that I can walk with the head high.

See you on the road. bye for now.

Canadian Championships

Last weekend was the Canadian Championships in Lac Megantic Québec. The weather was great even if there was a good wind. The coarse was pretty hilly for a handbike so the smaller guys had a good advantage on this kind of road. I still finshsed 3rd overall and 2nd in my category. World Cup next weekend in Baie Comeau Québec.

Races in Italy

Salut, it is nice and hot here in France where I am training and preparing for a World Cup in Spain.
First race in Piacenza Italy went well with the TT, 41. 295 kl average that gave me a 4th place. The road race was equally fast and was blocked at the sprint finishing 10th. I was lucky, the weather was nice all weekend. Then I was off to Rome Italy for the 1st World Cup. I finished 7th in TT and was crashed in road race, finishing 18th. I was not badly hurt just some scratches on the bike and body, with one deep wound on the elbow. Then I left for France where I am training in the Pyrenees, nice hills. The next Word Cup will be in Segovia Spain, between the 15, 17th of June.

TT Granby

Gold, TT Granby Quebec!! With an average of 193 watts, not bad. On a windy and not so hot day, at least the sun was out. For me this was a watt test so did not have my carbon wheel on, and still did good. It was nice peparation for my next 5 weeks racing in Europe.
